Frontier Steak Knife @ 2008 Michael H. Mara

This frontier style hunting / cooking knife features a 3 3/4” blade of 1/8" 1084, with an upswept point and offset, curved spine, with decorative filework. The blade design includes a deep, curved ricasso, forged and etched finish, and a mirror polished, convex ground edge. The blade is differentially hardened, with the edge hardened to HRC60 and the spine dead soft, for rugged toughness and superior edge-holding capability, and includes a visible hamon. It is very light and quick in the hand. The knife is 7 3/4” overall, with full tang construction, Desert Ironwood scales and 2 Nickel silver pins. Currently there is no sheath, but one can be made, for additional cost. $255 SOLD
