Floating Filet Knife @2015 Michael H. Mara The Floating Filet has a very fine 6-1/2" blade of 440C, flat ground and forged, with an as-forged finish, HRC60. Full tang construction with Axis deer scales and three nickel silver pins. 10-1/4" OAL. Made of sturdy 3/32" steel, it combines rigidity with gentle flex, and got its name from the unique bulb-shaped handle, which allows for different grip positions, making it almost 'float' in your hand. An elegant, flexible filet knife, also known as a Bird and Trout, for precise, delicate work. No sheath right now, but one can be made for an additional charge. $231. Sold It's worth mentioning that no, it does not float in water, despite the name.
