Differential Dubh @2008 Michael H. Mara

This Sgian Dubh has a 4” dagger point, convex ground, 440C blade, differentially hardened, with traditional spine grooves. The spine was coated with Satanite, a refractory clay, prior to hardening, towards achieving a hamon, or visible temper line. The spine is dead soft, while the edge is approximately HRC 62 ~ 65. The handle is antler with Nickel silver furniture and black vulcanized spacers. 8-1/2" OAL. Includes a hand tooled leather sheath, dyed to match the antler pattern. $413. SOLD
