Cocobolo Utility Paring Knife @2011 Michael H. Mara This paring or utility knife features a 3 1/2” convex ground 1080 blade, differentially hardened for hardness and strength, and satin finished. The differential tempering is created via coating the spine with refractory clay, prior to hardening, and creates a blade is hardened to HRC62 at the edge, while the spine remains soft. This enables the knife to take and hold a razor edge like no other blade. The knife is 7 1/2” overall, and is ergonomically shaped to nestle in the hand, with full tang construction for strength and durability, Cocobolo scales, and three brass pins. $163 SOLD |
